This month is the time where many different programs will be granting scholarships for high school seniors to those applicants who stood out from the rest of the pack. It is usually around this time (January) when most organizations are sifting through all those scholarships applications to find the best students and the ones that are most deserving of the scholarship funds.

Many of the judges who determine these things will be looking at every aspect of these scholarship applications. There are usually a few parts to the application process. A questionnaire as well as an essay portion. Students are also asked to submit their grades and any extra curricular activities they may be involved in. All of this helps give the judges a better overall picture of each applicant. That way they can really narrow down all the choices and give the money to the students that are the cream of the crop.
